The Desktop Support Engineer provides first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, as well as installing and upgrading operating systems and applications. The role involves using diagnostic tools, maintaining ticketing system updates, and collaborating with third-party vendors. The ideal candidate should have at least 18 months of IT experience and relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or MCP. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a project-based environment.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent).
CompTIA A+ certification.
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or higher.
Analytical Problem-Solving – Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
Multitasking & Prioritization – Ability to manage multiple tickets and meet SLAs.
Customer Service Communication – Excellent relationship-building and internal support skills.
Adaptability – Flexible in fast-changing environments and project-based work.
Availability – Willingness to work off-hours and weekends when required.
Windows Desktop Support – 2–3 years of experience supporting Windows 7–10.
Active Directory – User provisioning, GPOs, and PC/laptop management.
MS Office 365 – Installation, troubleshooting, and support.
Hardware Troubleshooting – Installation and repair of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Enterprise Antivirus – Familiarity with enterprise security solutions.
Mobile Device Management – iOS and Android devices, encryption solutions.
Helpdesk Ticketing Systems – Experience documenting and resolving incidents.
